03.09 The J-R Scheme

Line-up

• Stephen Campbell

Stephen Campbell is an American comedian who has performed at Coachella, New York Comedy Festival and comedy clubs across the world.

He’s recording a one man show on September 5th in Amsterdam about growing up in the opioid crisis. The show has been loved by comedy and theater fans at Edinburgh Fringe Festival; calling it “something that made me feel less alone,” and “genuinely, my favorite experience at Fringe.”

Heart-felt and funny, but he’s not above getting on stage with a band at a music festival to make a song about his dick. In short, the kid’s got range!

• Kristina Jak

Kristina Jak - a winner of Tuna - a tiny underground newbie award, and a finalist of UICF, Utrecht International Comedy Festival, likes comedy competitions and silly things. Kristina’s based in Amsterdam for years already but that hasn’t changed her core - Finnish-Russian forest core.

Original and dry - both descriptions describe a great gin tonic and Kristina. One has its origins in British military and the other in Soviet Union - both make you wonder if it’s okay to enjoy that.

• Max Bass

Max Bass is a young comedian from Eindhoven. A regular on the local comedy scene, he shares stories about growing up and trying to understand the world.

Max has performed in cities across the Netherlands and Europe, bringing a youthful and down-to-earth perspective to the stage.

• Rogier Bak

Rogier started performing stand-up comedy in 2016 and has since become a regular at comedy clubs throughout the Netherlands. He has opened for Tony Woods, Nimesh Patel, Tamer Kattan, Max Amini, The Comedy Store (London) on Tour, and produces a series of shows under the name Humorist Comedy. You can find tickets to upcoming shows below (seriously, swipe up once), or you can reach out and tell him where you live so he can come do a show there.

You can see his comedy on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. His joke about Dutch doctors is the most-viewed English comedy video on Om Te Gieren TV’s TikTok page, and there’s no way you made it all the way down to the end of this paragraph.
