Line-up

• Nadine Froughi

Nadine Froughi is a stand-up comedian. Half Iranian, half American, raised in the UK but now mostly Dutch, her comedy takes serious/sexy topics and makes them silly. Nadine is based in Amsterdam and aside from telling jokes, makes a really good shallot pasta and can deadlift over 100kg on a good day.

• Mohna Joshi

Indian-born and now living in the Netherlands, Mohna Joshi has performed from Amsterdam to New York and from Bangkok to the Edinburgh Fringe. Her show Indian Auntie Goes Dating! takes on dating apps, Dutch directness and starting over on a new continent.

• Neil Robinson

Originally from Vancouver, Neil Robinson came to Amsterdam for a summer in 2008 and never left. He started stand-up here, became a regular at Comedy Café Amsterdam and has been a finalist in the Sonnema Comedy Competition several times.

He co-created the video series Survival Guide to the Dutch, watched more than 30 million times, and co-runs Those Dam Boat Guys and Café de Knoop, where he hosts English-language comedy nights.

• Rogier Bak

Rogier started performing stand-up comedy in 2016 and has since become a regular at comedy clubs throughout the Netherlands. He has opened for Tony Woods, Nimesh Patel, Tamer Kattan, Max Amini, The Comedy Store (London) on Tour, and produces a series of shows under the name Humorist Comedy. You can find tickets to upcoming shows below (seriously, swipe up once), or you can reach out and tell him where you live so he can come do a show there.

You can see his comedy on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. His joke about Dutch doctors is the most-viewed English comedy video on Om Te Gieren TV’s TikTok page, and there’s no way you made it all the way down to the end of this paragraph.
